Most infrastructure decisions are made with less evidence than they deserve.

Prostatika exists to close that gap — formed by engineers who watched capital committed on inspection, inherited drawings and assumption.

Position

An owner rarely asks whether a structure is beautiful. They ask whether it will carry what is coming, for how long, and what happens if it does not.

Those are answerable questions. They require access to the structure, measurement of its actual condition and geometry, characterisation of its materials, and analysis that reflects how it behaves rather than how it was drawn. Each step introduces error. The discipline is in tracking that error to the conclusion instead of discarding it.

We work at the point where inspection technology meets structural analysis. Drones and laser scanners give us geometry and condition at densities that were not practical a decade ago. Non-destructive testing tells us what is happening inside a section. Numerical models let us test the structure against demand. None of it means anything until an engineer decides what it implies.

Our deliverable is a decision an owner can defend — to a board, a regulator, an insurer or a tribunal. That is the whole of the business.

Principles

Four commitments we can be held to.

Independence is structural, not stated

We hold no construction contracts, no product agencies and no repair subsidiaries. There is no version of our advice that earns us more work downstream.

Uncertainty is quantified, not hidden

Where data is incomplete we say so, model the sensitivity and report the range. A single number without its assumptions is not an engineering answer.

Instruments do not replace judgement

Scanners, drones and solvers produce data. Deciding what the data means about a structure under real loading remains an engineering act.

The reviewer is the audience

Every report is written so that another competent engineer can follow the reasoning, reproduce the calculation and disagree with it on technical grounds.
